Back at CCSC for the winter
We are back at the Clark County Shooting Center in Las Vegas. Betsy is working as Range Safety Officer at the Archery range and I am doing the same at the rifle/pistol range. Weather is good, warm during the day and cool at night. Good to be back and see our friends again and I discovered a couple Navy Buddies who live out here. Always fun to discover old friends again after all these years.

Until I heard about the Ben Avery range near Phoenix I thought this was the biggest and best shooting complex anywhere. They have an archery range as well as a 2.7 mile 3D archery trail. They have 24 world class trap and skeet stations, as well as two 15 station sporting clay courses. Also in the line up is a rifle/pistol range and a firearms/hunter safety education center. The rifle pistol range has target stations from 3 yards to 50 on the pistol side, 50yd, 100yd and 200yd on the rifle side. There are 80 FHU sites that they only charge 20.00 a night for. That in it's self is an outstanding deal for the Vegas area, you are in a "gated" community plus you get to shoot. If you want more info go to this link CCSC At this time the cost of a day of shooting at pistol/rifle range is only 9.00 dollars, the cost of skeet/trap and sporting clays varies as per the web site. Anyone in the area please come visit.

The 50, 100, and 200yd rifle ranges are they benchrest. These are the guys we deal with. If they are benchrest do you hold registered matches.
Lynwood
Did you here about the .0077 inch 5 shot 100 yard group that broke all records this summer. The .0077 is NOT a mistake. I have shot a few groups under an eight inch, saw a few under 1\16 inch, I saw Mike Walker of Remington shoot a .04 but a group under .008. WOW

All shooting positions have a concrete shooting bench and chair. you can shoot sitting at bench, prone, sitting, and kneeling. They do have competitions but I am not sure when and for what. They have league trap and skeet on Wed.
