We have been going to Naples for a few years now but we are not Snowbirds. Still doing the 4 letter word "work" part time. One of our favorite places in Naples is Rockcreek RV resort. I think it is the friendliest campground we have been to with lot of activities. I will say the sites are a little tight but as others have said the further south you go the smaller they get. They do not assign campsites until you get there. This is not a economical cg but you can bike into the town of Naples easily. Location you pay for. It is clean and well managed.
We also like Sanibel Island, Perwinkle campground but it is impossible to get a seasonal site in there as far as I know. You have to pay to go on and off the island. A few bucks. Bike paths all around the island. Just love it there. We usually go there in April as the snow birds are leaving. Still takes a year advance reservations to get in there. Campground is nothing special but clean, neat, and on the island. It works for us.
We are going to check out 2 campgrounds in Fort Myers. They are called Gulf Waters RV Park Fort Myers Beach Fl, and Indian Creek Rv Fort Myers Beach Fl. Both look good to us on the web and Indian Creek was recommended by a MOC member. You can check them out on the web. We have not stayed there yet.
Since your investigating for next year you will have plenty of time to check any of these out. It depends on what you plan to spend for the season and how close you want to town. Let us know if you checked any out in Feb and what your thoughts are.
Have fun!
