Got them installed this morning!

Sue and I installed the tool box I bought yesterday using captive nuts and bolts, finished the Husky roller slider hitch, and bolted on our Blue Ox bed saver.
I went with another Weatherguard box, pricey, but this way, I won't look at the toolbox in a month and wish I would have gotten what I wanted.
The Blue Ox has great powder coat paint on it, feels nice.
I had a great local hitch company, (Steve it's Croft) install my Firestone air bags for overloads, so my 3/4 Ton should be a little tougher.
Only smashed one thumb on the deal, came out great.
I will post some other mods with pictures since I drug my camera out.
Not knowing how to do the pictures well, I'll go drag them one by one and stick them in here as a edit.

Nice job, Ozz. It's making me tired just reading and thinking about all this work you're doing!

We love Arizona, we visited Tucson last year, great area, good roads, super food. I think we stayed at the Voyager. I have 3 or 4 shirts from there, Jim also.

Never heard of Air Box Revolution before. Looks like your set up sets up pretty high. Looks like nice hitch, how heavy is it. Do you take it in and out much?

Broome101,
It is sold by the name Husky, I am yet unsure about the height, I may have to adjust that. Pretty heavy, I have an electric hoist in my detached garage-work shop, I use that, and don't lift Nuttin.
I just got my Monte, and the whole 5th wheel deal is new to me, still haven't even hooked up, I had the dealer deliver it, and have been working on it for a month or so.
I will just pull the 4 pins, raise it with the hoist and lower it on a furniture dolly for storage when we are home.

Don, it is extremely well made and very stout, I looked at an old one at the dealer, on one of the old trucks, and it rolled super easy, he never greased it or attended to it in years.
Sold me.
Thanks, Ozz

Ozz, yours has four adjustment holes. So does my Reese. Yours is in the lowest hole. Mine is in the next hole up from that. Our hitches may start at different height but you asked how high mine is. The saddle, when level, sits 17 inches above the bed floor. Yours may vary from that but maybe that will get you started.

Tim,
It has Two Firestone air bags in it, it slides and is an air ride. I think it will be a good one.

Steve, thanks, I will do some measuring.

Ozz thanks for the info I guess now the question is how do you control air pressuse is there a set amount or is it adjustable more than likely from a outside source and what is the best pressure to run in them I have never seen a air hitch so this a cool idea that I need to look into

Hi Tim,
You know all this is new to me, I am still learning, but there is a tee in the air line, so you air both bags together, and as in many things, if there is a scale between say 5# and a max of 100#, one would GUESS that the set point will be somewhere in the middle. I imagine it is in the paperwork, and I will be reading up on that.
I am so busy just installing and wiring all my add ons, I haven't had much time for research.
The air hitch is said to be much smoother, easier on the driver as well as the 5er and the tow vehicle.

cool thanks Ozz I will wait for you to give it a try and learn from you on this one I wonder if there will be any slack movment during braking or pulling away from a stop sign my slider already has a little in it and would like to get away from this so a new hitch is not out of the question just need to get educated a bit I see

Ozz hasn't towed his fifthwheel yet so probably doesn't know the answer to Tim's question, yet. But I'd like to comment he will have no banging from slack because he has the new Ford builtin brake controller that runs off the truck's computer. Our banging in the hitch disappeared when we went with that controller in this truck. Prior to that we had the banging. Same hitch and trailer. Different controller. So what I'm trying to say is Ozz's experiences on this won't necessarily match what someone with a different controller will experience.

The new Ford built in brake controller also talks to the ABS brakes. This system is terrific and I am sure GMC and Daimler Chrysler will catch up soon.

Ozz how much was that new looking hitch. The Trail Air Hitches like that are way too high for my taste around $2,700.00 or so.
