Rmar, that pullout shade should work pretty well for you. We used one of those over the vent over the bed in our prior two Montanas. Worked well.

Like others here, I removed the frame on the inside and cut a piece of "reflectix" foil bubble wrap insulation to fit over the skylight. Not only did it block the light, but the heat also, all from one product. The downside is it does block the light all the time, but we have an enclosed bathroom with the standard 14" vent so we can get plenty of natural light if we choose to. We also solved the problem with the reflexive bubble insulation and some super strength velcro from McMaster Carr. It goes up at night and comes down during the day for light. I'm interested in trying the bubble wrap between the panes to reduce heat.

We did the same thing...comes down during the day as long as it is not too hot.
