Thanks so much for all the wonderful well wishes. Rich did tell me, this morning, that I was late for work, and I told him I'd just have to call off SICK.

I do think about the place still but the actual reality of NEVER having to go back there... hasn't sunk in yet. I spent the entire day, yesterday, wandering around the building, saying goodbye to people and grinning like the Cheshire Cat. I felt absolutely no pangs of sadness... just absolute, sheer joy that I was getting out of there and would NEVER have to work another weekend, midnight or afternoon shift, or Holiday (although the extra $$ for Holidays WAS nice). Ahhhhhhhhh, a woman of leisure! YIPPEE!!! YAHOO!!! WOO HOO!!!

Oh, I do realize it will be 24/7 of Rich... but then he has been retired for almost 8 years and has been under foot anyway... HOWEVER... now HE gets to put up with ME 24/7. HA! HA!!!! We'll see who screams UNCLE first! (besides Dusty)

Think about it... we've all been under SOMEONE's thumb since the day we were born... parents, teachers, bosses. NOW.... we're truly free birds. Go where ever we want, whenever we want, without hardly a care in the world... meet new people, see new things, experience new experiences...sounds like a brand new adventure about to unfold. Can't wait to see what's around the next corner!

Wishing you both great times with retirement! Congratulations Helen!
Have fun!

I was a "hippy" too many years ago. Long straight hair and all.
Also I was at Woodstock. Dont remember much about it but I was there!

Helen,

Congratulations on your retirement now the fun begins. It looks like you have a wonderful winter escape all planned. Swing by Texas if you get a chance.

HEY, Helen! I've been remiss in keeping up with the MOC postings the last 10 days or so, and I just found out about your retirement!
The picture is great. As a matter of fact, I think I met you once, long ago, in San Francisco - lol.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! April and I hope to meet you folks somewhere along the way.
