Shower door hinge

My Shower door lower hinge broke. I went to the RV dealer in town and they looked thru their books and could not find one. I have not taken it apart as I cn still use the shower with difficulty as it is. any ideas anyone? I plan to call Keystone next. My Monty is a 2007 3475.

This is gonna be a tough fix in that I've not seen these hinges generally available, even if you are lucky enough to identify and find that exact match. I'd try and search for a trailer salvage yard and you might get lucky enough to find the parts you need (not just the hinge). I'm guessing you'll eventually need to place the whole door assembly, then the lesson will be to stay careful using AYTHING in these fragile rigs. Good luck; keep us posted.

You might try contacting a specialty shower door shop. They may be able to solve your problem. Even though this is installed in an RV, many of these installations have the same or similar parts as installed in a S/B home.

Hi I'm not familiar with your particular model.
If you get desparate you can always search for a piano hinge.
They are bascially a long continous hinge that you can either attach with pop rivits or flat head screws. They are manufactured in many types of materials with steel being the cheapest and will rust / corrode the fastest. Brass or stainless would work best.
Just be sure you have clearance depth in the trim if you decide to drill and attach using holes other than the original mounts.

If you do have to drill make a spacer for the drill bit so you will not go too far into the trim. For instance say your drill bit is 2.5inches sticking out of the chuck. If it is a 1/8in Dia bit then use a 2.25 piece of soft drawn copper pipe to slide over the drill bit. This will act as a stop so you won't drill too deep possibly into the glass.
