Mountaineer's

I just saw 2015 mountaineers on the internet. I thought they did away with this line? and if so how did this happen?

Was it on Keystone's site or a dealer's?

Keystone site shows Mountaineers as "stock only" units. I suppose if a dealer ordered some of the stock units that they would be considered 2015 units.

We own a 2015 Mountaineer, they made a bunch of them, a lot of dealers stocked up on them. Locally the Montana's popularity has Fallon off, Mountaineer following increased, dealers not happy, trying to convince customers that the Mountaineer is now the Montana. To much bad press on the net about Montana line.

I think the "Dealer Stock Only" phrase means the only ones available are on dealer lots. They quit making them at the end of the year as told to me from a Keystone Rep. The Mountaineer and the Montana High Country were apparently "merged".

MIMF.

Nice to see some one else has a 331RLT. Is yours fiberglass back end or a flat back with a bumper. The reason I ask is I have seen in our park a mountaineer with a fiberglass even though I do not have it on my unit.

Eagleback, our's is the flat back with the bumper. Living here in Elkhart County, I see tons of all kinds of RVs leaving for all corners of North America. I have yet to see another Mountaineer with the chocolate paint colors like the one we have. But, when we bought, we was looking at the floor plan and all the options that was on it.

And the Montana was a step above the Mountaineer. I have owned 3 Montana's and will be picking up my 4th Montana Legacy Package on Saturday.

According to the Montana Reps at the Fall Rally, the Mountaineer is now the Montana and the Montana that we have known is now the Montana Legacy. The Montana/Mountaineer has no back cap and is flat on the back like the Mountaineers were/are! Ok, did I confuse you enough? Now this was as of last September-- SOOOO-- things may have changed but I doubt that the words from the honchos at Keystone/Montana Division have changed that much. Your guess is as good as mine on who things run back in Elkhart and Goshen!!!

Rondo, you have it exactly right! As soon as I can figure out how to get a picture of our Mountaineer in our signature, everyone will be able to see the color we have. I just recall showing a picture to a couple people at customer service and their reaction was, "what have you got, there?" That is when I'm going, "uh oh!"

That would be great if I could see a pic of your unit. mine is the standard almond color with dark brown graphics and a dark brown cap. I'm not sure what colors to call them but hopefully you get my meaning.

The Montana is made in the Residential and Legacy model now. As Rondo said, our older Montanas our now the Legacy package. We are ordering a new 3160 in the Legacy package. Right now, they only have a Residential unit in stock. As soon as the Mountaineers are sold, you will get your choice of Big Sky, High Country, Montana Residential and Montana Legacy. The Legacy package adds full wood frames to the cabinets, heated floors in bathroom and bedroom, molded rear cap, front cap paint, and MCD shades. I'm probably omitting some items. The floor plans are the same for the legacy and residential packages. If I recall, the Legacy adds $6,000 to the list price.
