propane tanks

2010 montana hickory edition 366re, we are wondering what way the valves should be to get propane out of both tanks or is it automatic? I want to leave the trailer in storage for 2 weeks with food in it.

The LP system has an automatic changing valve and will work fine . Two weeks time, I would be concerned about battery power.

I would be worried about the batteries too. 2 weeks could be a stretch even with 2 batteries

You would be better off shutting it down. The chances of the batteries holding long enough is pretty low. Between the gas detector and the electronics on the fridge and normal drain, plus battery condition, makes it a poor bet.

There are a lot of things in our rigs drawing power even when off. Some have been mentioned above, but the TV's, antenna boosters, and thing like that must be unplugged or they continue to draw juice also. Without having a solar source to recharge the batteries, I'm with the majority, don't do it. Not only will your food probably spoil, running your batteries dead will damage them also.
