What was the parade for????

Traveling down 281 to Johnson City Tx today it looked like an RV parade. Never seen so many snowbirds on the road at the same time. I was amazed at the number, they almost create their own traffic jam headed north lol lol ....hope y'all make it safely..........

They're headed home for Easter. Frankly I don't miss snow that much.

Dave, Are you still at Miller Creek? If so, we may stop in if it's ok. Dick

Sorry no we had to head back home for my wife's business ......Our camping group kept us pretty busy this trip or we would have headed over to where you were. There are 3 or 4 Montana's at Millers Creek but could not find anyone on MOC but did give them the website,,,,

Steelpony, did you notice all the old Volkswagon Bus/Campers on 281 this weekend? Saw a '76 camp mobile which was our first camper.

LOL LOL yeah I think that was the most V-Dubs, Micro Buses and Things I have ever seen in one spot, and I lived in Germany lol,,,, There were some pretty nice restorations I seen. I just seen you are from Cove too, were you camping down there or just on a day trip?

Also lived in Germany 5 years while on duty.

Had two VWs, a 67 beetle and the 76 Camp Mobile. Took the Camp Mobile back to Germany in '77. Lots of problems with parts for it as US VWs were not the same as German VWs.

Live in Cove for 26 years on top of Hughes Mountain. We were on our way north to Cleburne State park for a 3 day. Beautiful park, great sites with lots of trees and a great staff.

Lots of fun for us with the Grandboys.
