Leather Furniture or Cloth

We are veery close to ordering a new 3720 and are debating about the relative comfort of the leather vs cloth seats. At home we have a leather loveseat and find it cold in the winter or when its cool in summer, and really sweaty on those hot, humid days. Cloth feels better but perhaps its not so up-to-date to look at. Your thoughts anyone?

Didn't know that there was an option. The choice is yours then do what ever makes it more comfortable for you. I also would prefer a cloth material. The DW and I just replaced the furniture in ours and went with microfiber, looks and feels similar to suede supposed to breathe like cloth and wear like iron. Time will tell. Good luck.

We removed the leather and replaced it with cloth. So much nicer to us. Each has their own preference.

We have leather in our 2012. It didn't last 1 1/2 years. The chair backs are peeling off. So far the sofa is ok. It was out of warranty every every told us. So no help. Cheap, cheap glued on leather. In our opinion don't go with their leather. Ken

Not real leather, what they call composite, scraps glued together and run as sheets of material, they like to call leather. Common in low end furniture advertised as leather.

We have had both and unlike others prefer the fake leather or whatever it is (ours is in good shape, but of course we are only in the rig about 5-6 weeks total out of the year). It is a personal choice that only you can make.

Many of us dumped the original furniture as one of our first modifications. RV life is usually outdoors and visitors are infrequent in most of our rigs. Get what you want and makes you happy.

We are in the process of replacing the OME furniture of our Big Sky and we are choosing leather because we have a yellow lab and with leather the hair brushes right off or vacuums right up.

I would never again option up for the leather. As stated above, it is cheap, poorly made and scratches easily. I am just counting the days until we replace our furniture with microfiber. I do not know if microfiber is an option when you order a new unit. If not, at least save the upgrade option cost and forego the leather.

We have a 2016 3720 with the leather. Can't speak for how it's going to last yet but if you go with the theater love seat option at least it is heated as far as the cold feel. We did not know that when ordered but found out when we had more remote controls than we could figure out what they were for. Sofa is not heated and I don't know about the standard seats if you don't opt for the theater seating. If we ever have to upgrade we will definitely be doing the microfiber, had that in our house that looked like leather and really loved it.

We have the original cloth sofa and like it fine. We did replace the trashy original recliners with real leather Lazy Boys and are VERY happy with them. 4 years full time and still look new.

It's your choice but the so called leather isn't very high quality. It's reprocessed, ground up and glued back together. Leather is unique the less work you do on it the more it cost and the higher the quality. Reprocessed requires the most work. If you aren't long timing and you like the leather it won't matter. You aren't going to wear out anyway. Check out both then get the one you like.

Just like my rigs I prefer leather over cloth as in my opinion it maintains it looks and comfort longer than cloth. I think it also depends on quaility of leather and or cloth. I do like cloth but it seems to get ugly real quick. Unfortunately what the manufactures use is probably not high quaility. Kind of like talking about the cabinetry being built by quaility minded craftsmen. Even our Lazyboy chairs at home are not up to the standards of yesteryear, just like appiences and everything else.

Sorry about ranting but it is the truth.

Leather ! I am particularly impressed with the Peruvian imported product from the rare Naugha beast. Apparently it's only found in three regions where its coveted Hyde is painstakingly tanned to be cool in summer and warm in winter. It's alway my second choice, but PETA is trying to stop its production!

Artemus Gordon the reason PETA is trying to ban it is that they only use the hide from baby naugha's, that's why it's sooooooo soft.

We are cloth folks. We had the make believe leather in this 13 3402 swapped out with cloth. We had cloth in out 06 3400 we used it hard and it never wore out. The bird ate one but it did not wear out.
