Yes, in three (3) weeks I turn 70 years young! Seriously though, I usually try to make 400 - 450 miles while on route to wherever I'm headed. Rarely less and once in a while 600 - 700.

It's a 2x4, so we think it was used for perhaps towing a horse trailer. The brakes are worn at an uneven ratio. The back ones are good. The front driver's side is 20% worn while the passenger front is 50% worn. Test driving showed some shudder and the dealer ground the rotors. Says it's great now. I would have preferred they replaced the rotors. Is this a deal breaker?
Go for a 2015 or newer. They have the built in exhaust brake with a button to engage it. I have a 2016 F350 LB Platinum SRW to pull my Alpine. Handles excellent either ascending or descending mountains.

2012...
+ long bed

- 2wd

2016...
+ only 17,000 miles
+ factory warranty
+ 4wd
+ better tow/cargo ratings
- short bed

Personally, I would go with the 2016
Just my two cents
Thank you Chief! We purchased the 2016 and while it’s a “Red Beast”, I think We’ll be ok. Actually, I think it could pull down a house. hitch install is tomorrow. Montana pick up next week. Then we play. Our retired Army, now Air Force son in law is flying out here in the East to help hubby learn to drive, and back up, etc. He trained in pulling trailers while deployed and handles his own like a pro. Good to know people right? Both our daughters just recently left the Navy, so i’ll Take your “2 cents”anytime
