Battery Tender 10 watt Solar Panel

I need some ideas on mounting the solar panel on the roof of the Monty. if anyone have any experience or suggestions, I would appreciate your response. Any ideas on routing the wire to the battery would be great too.

Thanks in advance.

All I know is that you don't want to NAIL them to the roof... Sorry I couldn't resist...

The good news is that there are many members that have done this successfully. How many panels are you planning? Are they just for recharging? If you plan on boondocking then capacity becomes important. Have you identified the controller, inverter (if any), wiring or other features for your system? Is that alligator in the avatar your pet?

You have a beautiful rig combination (your pet alligator matches the color scheme). I hope you post what you finally end up doing.

I drilled a hole through the roof for my solar. I did mount a junction box on the roof over the hole.
Greg K. did a nice adaption to the vent pipe. This link shows his work.
I hope this helps.

I did the same thing. I drilled the hole directly over the wall between the stool room and the bedroom so my wires ran inside the wall and then into the basement. Put a junction box over the hole on the roof. You can see it in my signature pic if you look close.
