The antenna on the roof of our house is 18 years old and receives Digital/ HD Tv with no problem.

"Just as buying a new TV has changed, shopping for a TV-Antenna today, can be confusing; but it need not be. Although they may be labeled: "TV-Antenna", "Digital TV-Antenna" or "HDTV Antenna" - the consumer should not be misled. A TV-Antenna that can receive traditional Analog TV Signals, is NOT different than an Antenna that receives Digital-HDTV Signals. Manufacturers and Retailers are merely taking advantage of the current, heightened Consumer interest in all things related to Digital-HDTV. However, a TV-Antenna does not discriminate between Analog TV and Digital / HDTV Signals. "

I think we are the victim's of good PR.

You are welcome...the english language is often not a precise means of communication...especially when I use it.

Ummm... any TV antenna will receive DTV signals okay. Some are optimized for Digital, as for example the Wingman just improves reception somewhat (I do have one).
Its the TV / Receiver that has to have Digital specific capability.

I have also found that moving the antenna after doing the channel search will not improve the reception until I do a research.
The 12volt tv in the bedroom gets more channels than the big one in the lv, go figure!

I found that the bat wing did not help a bit. Selling that to the public was a con job also.
Have a Good Day
