Proud Mom!!!
I just had to share with my MOC friends what a proud Mom I am. My daughter just called me. She is a Computer Science major and she was just chosen to be a part of design team developing a high altitude balloon payload for NASA studying radiation at 100,000ft! She will help to write the computer program that gathers the data. The best part is that she will receive a stipend of $4000 for 8 weeks worth of work!
Here is a link to the more detailed description!

Now...I have to admit that I am still a worried Mom that she won't be able to get herself out of bed every morning to get to work! So I guess the worrying never ends!!!

Thanks everyone for the congrats! I just couldn't contain my excitement! I talked to her last night about the program and she will get to work with two of her professors, one from the robotics section and the other from the programming section. That alone will be worth it's weight in gold! She is really excited and said she will have copies of the pictures of the balloon when it reaches the upper atmosphere! That will be so cool!!!
