50 amp electric plug location

Does anyone find it inconvenient to have the 50 amp electrical outlet mounted on the back of the trailer? It just seems out of place when all of the other utilities are accessed at the convenient center on the off door side of the unit. It isn’t uncommon to see plugs on sobs on the side.
Is there a reason that it’s on the back that I’m overlooking?
