Screws getting sheared off
Have one screw from each master bedroom frame with the head cut off and perhaps an eighth of an inch of screw below it.
While washing the rig for the first time last Sun a screw came out of the master slide cover bracket. Thought the whole screw came out but now wondering if that was shorn off as well....never found the screw.
Anyone else encounter this?

Not sure what screws you are talking about but it is not unusual for screws to unwind themselves due to bouncing down the road .Just about all
of our fender screws on the 13 3402 have come out in the last 2 years .Lost two on the way up from Florida last week. Minor problem

Chris-- If you think you have a problem, I'd take it back to the dealer and have them check it over! As Rich said, while going down the US highways and byways we all have had some screws come loose- no pun intended! I've found that at times those putting the units together are over tightening then screws at times and actually breaking the screws- thus the head and part of the shank fall off. They are using air and battery powered screw drivers when putting these things together and if they are cranked up a little to much or the person gets a little over zealous when putting the screws in they will over torque them and thus the problem. We've all had this happen to us and really there is nothing that can be done about it. You can write Keystone and let them know what you have had happen and/or you can call Keystone Service and have them actually start a file on your rig that way since it is a 2015 unit too.

The screws that go around the window frame. One on each side of the bed. They didn't work themselves loose....the screw is sheared off. Ill attach a pic shortly.

There is a fine line in the amount of torque you can apply to screws when putting them in, I have broken screws even using a hand screwdriver. In the construction of our Montana's they do not do it by hand rather as Rondo says they use air or electric screw drivers and I am sure many are broken. If you use "cheap" screws this will happen more often and most often when putting in self drilling screws.
Over the 3 years I have owned my Montana I have found many screws that came from who knows where and a few that I did know about because something fell apart because of it. I have found 3 hydraulic plugs that were dropped or tossed when the hydraulics were installed. Sometimes it happens, but using good quality screws and a little common sense goes a long way to minimize its happening, not much of either of them around Keystone in my opinion.

I have found a few screw heads on the floor. All were from windows in the end of the slides. The screw part is still there, just the heads popped off.
Must be normal.

If you have a lot of cases where the top portion of a screw is sheared off, leaving most of the screw still in...either trust that your dealer will be able to have someone talented enough to use a screw extractor...or...buy one and learn to use it before turning yourself loose on your rv. I have several cases on my monte, but they are scattered around and not affecting the unit. Sad to see any of these, but as said, power tools in the hands of people who are in a hurry (or under-qualified) is usually the cause. John

One reason I am constantly checking my mirrors going down the road. Looking to see if a fender flair is flapping in the breeze. Caught it twice and had to replace 2 screws holding them on. The trim around the slides; have at least one where the head of the screw popped off. Will have to drill out, so am in no big hurry to replace.

Yeah, I have at least 4 not around the window but around the slide molding. When the slide is out, its the screws that hold a metal strip that goes around the sides and top of slide.
Same as you, was washing rv for the first when it was new and the heads just popped off. IMHO, its that overseas junk metal. Even at home I snap more screw heads than I did years ago. Hard to find American screws any more.
15 min with a tech last year didn't seem to care.

I went around the outside of mine several years ago checking all the visible screws holding everything together. I quickly found out not to turn the screws very hard after twisting the heads off two of them with very little effort.
