Slide movement in Mountaineer (and prob.)

I had a 2006 Montana and now a 2013 Mountaineer. In the old unit, the slides seemed to lift up a bit as they came in. The new one is very tight to the floor. When extended, you can see the carpet sort of dragged to the outside. Is this normal? (I wanted to place one of those plastic slide things that would stop the roller tracks left behind and it won't even fit in)

Next problem, when taking the BR bed apart to install an inverter, I noticed the slide 'tube' that supports the slide has insufficient clearance with the plywood floor of the movable slide portion. It is grinding and ripping the plywood off each time the slide comes in. Has anyone had this happen??

Problem 1, without seeing it, sounds like an adjustment is required. Lippert has online easy to follow step by step instructions for that. Problem 2 sounds like an installation shortfall and I would discuss with your dealer. Not a problem I have heard of before.

Problem 2: Our curbside slide was doing what you described. There is what is called a sweep at the bottom attached with staples. Three of the staples were too long and causing the damage. The Dealer was able to raise the slide just enough to cut the staples off. Hope this is of some help.
