Just when I thought everything was going great!

Thought all was in order for our trip to the Rally and we'd slowly started packing. Our new neighbor asked me how my wife liked the Monty, so I took him in to show off. Started to show him how the TV goes up & down when the thing started binding on one side. I looked in back and the power cord had become stuck in the mechanism and was cut almost completely in two - good thing I had the inverter turned off and there was no pass through AC going to the thing!

Anyway, I've no idea if this cord was routed the same way from the factory as the dealer we bought it from told us they'd replaced it as the coax connector was broken on the old one. Could be they were the ones who didn't tie wrap it down so it eventually got hung up. Someone's definitely looking after me though - no sparks, no flames, no REAL excitement. Cord's all spliced & taped up, and back in place - tied down really well this time.

Definitely something to talk to the 15 minute tech guy about. The first year we were up there the service center redid our TV connections. They were somewhat embarrassed when I pointed out that it had left the build line with the wires tied together with a bread tie.

I believe many people have had a problem with the TV lift. Glad our Montana does not have this feature.

We never had an issue with our 2010'. The tv lift always worked perfectly and we liked having it.
