Some have had luck with that. Black and grey tank issues seem to be like cookie recipes, everyone has one that works for them. I put Happy Camper down mine and forget about it.

In all our years of RVing, we have never worried about lubricating valves themselves. Never had an issue. Pull cables are a different story.

My galley tank lever takes 2 hands to open and close since they replaced the tank 3 yrs ago.Hope that can improve after they replace the current galley tank AGAIN because of leaking. Guess I need to put something in tank like Happy Camper whatever that is. Where do you get?Thank goodness for this forum and all the knowledgeable people!

I am using a dry granular product Camco TST. It controls odor quite well,(black tank) but I need to find something to lube my grey tank valves.

I have used calgon, maybe just not enough of it.

Have been using "Odorlos" for years and maybe I need to change to Happy Camper next time to see if it helps with the galley gate valve opening easier.

I'm with Dick and the rest of the Happy Camper users. We've been using Happy Camper since we started camping with the Monte's! Every so often I put some Calgon powder or liquid into the tanks with it to actually "soften" the liquids in the tanks. The Calgon makes the insides of the tanks a little slicker too and they seem to clear easier then too!
