Back Flow on Flusher

Can I bypass the back flow valve on my black water flusher line. 2008 3075rl Montana? Thank you for your help. New valve cost 48.00. The valve is located in the closet in the entrance way, about 6 feet above the black tank.

I removed mine and used a elbow with threads in each end

Mine pretty much plugged up after about 2-3 weeks. I unscrewed it and it had a little marble inside that prevented backflow. I removed the marble and now it always has full pressure. Probably should get a backflow preventer for the hose, but haven't yet. I sort of figure if you turn off the water at the nozzle it can't get back into the system - just the hose.

I used 2 90 degree Shark Bites and cut the PEX underneath in the basement where I could reach it easily.

Hi George
I also took it right out and use a back flow preventer on the outside.

Hi

Ours came without the backflow preventer just a couple of elbows to make the line water tight. Then on top of this there wasn’t any check valves in the water connections in the convenience center. When we rebuilt the convenience center we installed the RVIA required check valves, these are built into the connection mounted in the wall and unless you look closely with a light you don’t even notice they are there.
