Front receiver hitch for bike rack

I am considering having a front receiver hitch installed on my 1999 Ford F250SD solely for the purpose of carrying the grandkids (and our) bicycles when towing. I don't anticipate going any long distances with it in place, so I am not too concerned about airflow to the radiator (unless you folks think I should be). Any tips/recommendation on brand names of hitches would be greatly appreciated.

I seriously doubt that would be a good place to carry the grand kids! (lol)
Just kidding anyway I know of one person who has a front hitch for that purpose perhaps he’ll speak up soon. How about it Bingo?

We have a hidden hitch brand receiver installed on the front of our Chevy. There was no cutting or drilling required and installation took about 20 minutes. I have carried 4 bikes on a bike rack with no problems. Never had a problem with airflow but night-time driving is a slight inconvenience. I could not use high beams, but rather used the fog lights. Getting used to the partially obstructed view took a little while to get used to, but I have travelled with the bikes on the front all the way to Florida and back with no problems.

We got a front receiver at the 09 rally and also the wheel tray style bike rack. I love it, I take the seat off and stow it in the basement and I take the handle bars off and bungee ball them to the diagonal frame member. It has never caused any air flow problems and since I don't do much night towing the lights have never been a problem either. We got the wheel tray style rack because it gets the bikes pretty much below the hood line. The frame style sticks the bikes way above the hood...

We have the front hitch and carry a 50 cc scooter on it. Works great. No issues.

We have a front hitch also. Make sure and get the rack that allows you to lower the bike rack so you can access the engine compartment. Also remember that you will have an extra 2" below which may scrape.
