JT Strong Arm Stabilizers
I installed these on my unit like Michael(snfexpress) and Doug (dheney)have done. I am extremely pleased with them. There is no more shake rattle and roll. These things do the job.It took me a little longer to install them because of my generator. I had to install a support across the unit on the front to mount to. These should be standard on all 5th wheels.

Glad to hear that you like the JT's, I want to install some on ours this spring. About how long did the installation take excluding the problems with the generator? Keystone should at least offer the stabilizers as a option. Rock and roll music is still good, just don't want the Monty joining in.

Thanks for the input. I have been thinking about them and wanting to hear from someone who has used them.
Cheers,

I am planning to put these on our 5er also. Thanks for the info! If these can help keep things steady with our wild little 4 year old doing his thing I will be very pleased.

Don, one person can install these in a day. You don't have to do it all at once. You could add one brace on today and another one on tomorrow until you get them all installed. It took me 2 short days total working in freezing weather with a contractor heater blowing on me to keep me from freezing. But I can say it was worth the effort and the $400.00.
Orv, You will be pleased when you put them on.

This is their claim to fame "Our six tube system weighs only 20.5 pounds [13.5 pounds for four tubes] . Our tubes are .090 wall 1" and 3/4" tubing. Remember, heavier is not always better..." ($289.95)
Based upon the above statement, it sounds like JT's are beefier, although I don't know what size & weight is. I saw JT's on sale at the RV show here in Spokane for $388.

I have had them for over a Year. no more waking the wife up going out the door now. Amazing, and very quality workman ship. Have seen the other look alike ones and while cheaper they don't appear like they will last as long as the JT ones. Just my opinion. But they were not being made when i got mine. Very easy to set up maybe adds 5 minutes to site setup.

As I have posted in the past, I spent $500 for the JT version and would purchase them again. They work for us. I think I was one of the first to purchase them from JTRV in the West, because they had very few distributors at the time.
I agree with the positive comments: no more shake, rattle and roll.

Mudchief, Do you have to remove any part of the underbelly on the Montana to connect the bars to the frame? One more question, you know what the weight is on these JT's?
Thanks Bob

Campbud,
You do not have to remove any part of the underbelly. I drilled holes and used nylock nuts as opposed to self-tappers (felt it was stronger) and still didn't have to remove any of the underbelly.
Package weight from shipping was 40 pounds for front and rear.

Campbud, just like Michael stated above I did not have to drop the underbelley. They are very easy to install. Like I posted earlier you can do it one brace at a time until you are complete.

One question on installation. I've been thinking of putting a couple of those PVC tubes under the rig, up near the landing legs, to store the sewer hose and a folding ladder. Will those tubes be in the way of the JT stabilizers?

David: The recommended distance from the back side of your electric jack legs and the JT mount is 30" for them to telescope correctly. I put my 8" storage tube right behind that mount ... no problems. Some MOCer put his between the mount and electric jack, but could not raise up the front jacks all the way. He did mention no clearance problems with the roads he pulled on. My preference would be behind the mount ... you wouldn't have that "wonder if" in the back of your mind.
