Help needed

I did something.. now every window I open needs to be enlarged.
I Googled this:

The default behavior for Internet Explorer is to open at the same size it was at the last time it was closed. While the default does apply in many cases it's not always consistent. Try the following workaround:
Open a single Internet Explorer window to the smaller size.
Drag the corners of the window until it completely fills the screen. Do not use the maximize button to enlarge the window.
Hold down the Ctrl key, and while holding it down use the mouse to click File and then Exit on the toolbar. NOTE: Do not use the "X" in the upper right corner to close the window.
Internet Explorer should now open in a full window.
If it still opens to a smaller size repeat the above but this time us the "Shift" key instead of the "Ctrl" key.
One of these workarounds should solve your problem.

My problem is that I can't find the 'File' where would that be?
Like on the MOC, for instance.
Thanks!

Upper left hand of the explorer window, it is a pull-down menu.

Use Firefox. Much more intuitive.

You are reminding me of an old cartoon I saw. There was a human, apparently standing on the surface of a planet with an alien being looking up at him. The alien said, "Do you remember what key you pressed last?"

But no pull down menu I can find.

Try pressing F11 to see if your toolbars reappear.

Ozz, isn't there a series of tool bars right below the header? If not, you may have the tool bars turned off. Put your cursor on one of the bars that is there (except for the address bar) and right click. That should give you a menu that will let you select which tool bars are active (ones with a check next to them).

Or, if there's a button up there that says "Tools", select that and you'll be able to get to toolbars and change what's showing.

Select the menu bar. That will give you access to the File menu.

Bob

I sent you a PM, but for those interest:

You apparently "hid" your menu toolbar. Let's see if I can remember the steps. This is complicated Ozz, so get out the voltmeter.

Step 1 -On the tool bar that you do see, like "Favorites, Google," find a blank gray area and right click on it.
Step 2 -In the little window that comes up, click on "Menu"
Step 3 -take the voltmeter and find a good place to stick it.

Now, on the menu bar that has "File, Edit, View, etc.," click on "View, then Toolbar, and ensure that the little square check box is checked next to menu.

If that doesn't work, pull out the voltmeter and we'll try again.

Edited: p.s., I'm on the iMac and I don't have Internet Exploder, so any questions will probably produce a delayed response until my pea brain catches up.

Yeaaa, the Voltmeter trick worked! I now have file up there.
You are, and continue to be my role model...I know, we are both in trouble now...
I didn't see a little Grey box to click when I saw it earlier, I clicked the box and now it seems to be staying up there.
I bet you all wonder how I can ever fix anything with my muddled brain.
Thanks again. And happy first day of Spring!
