Samsung RF18/20 Frig???

We have the new 3611 home and hooked to 20 amp power from the house. We can not find an "on/off" switch for the frig. We don't power the frig at home until preparing for a trip. This is our first residential frig so have questions. How do you know the ice maker is off by looking at the indicator row of lights at the top of the frig. There is a "button" you push but is it off when not lighted? The only thing found to do is turn the breaker off which is marked "bedroom"???? And, make sure the inverter is off. Dealer doesn't know either saying the samsungs are a recent change Montana made. Haven't been able to find this info in the manual! Thanks,

According to the owner's manual with mine, there is no off switch. If you look really close, (I had to squint through my bifocals), the icemaker button has "ice off" in tiny lighted print when you push it. We just leave our fridge on and ice off and loaded in-between trips. Hope this helps. JT.

You have to hold the 2nd and 3rd button from the left when you open both refrigerator doors. Hold both of these for a few seconds at the same time and that turns it on and off as well. Liked to have never figured it out.

Our light stays on as well. I had to call Samsung to figure out to turn it on and off. Do the same thing to turn it back on.

Well, emptied the melted ice from the PDI. Now how do you dry the ice maker tray? My fat fingers will not get all the way to the back cube slots. Maybe, cycle the ice maker without water pump on?? This is like starting over RVing!

Why not just shut the circuit breaker off.

That's what I do but its not a dedicated breaker for the Fridge. It also shuts off the bedroom outlets including the TV in my 2016 375FL. Not really a issue

We had the same problem! You have to turn off the breaker for the gfi's in the breaker panel since the fridge has water going to it and make sure your inverter is off.

yes. the ice off indicator for the ice maker. To turn off the fridge, look in the basement storage area. your inverter will be plugged into a 120v outlet. this is the outlet that feeds the 120v pass-thru voltage to the dedicated outlet behind the fridge. just unplug the inverter from the outlet and the fridge will turn off.

On my inverter there is a on /off button on one end red in color. No need to unplug

Yes, have the inverter and breaker turned off. Guess that breaker for the frig may also control the bedroom and that is why the sticker says "bedroom"?? Didn't test the bedroom 120 stuff.
The sewer storage tube was not long enough for the Rhino flex hose and the "tabs" on the orange connectors on the hose would not fit through the tube. I trimmed the tabs and shortened the hose by about eight inches and now it fits. The tabs would not pass thru the bumper either. But, better than the boom on the 3400 that I removed.
Overall, still pleased with the new camper.

My breaker just said fridge. Found out after DW went to use vacuum in bedroom. Whoever labeled them has worse handwriting than me . Thinking of getting a label maker and redoing them

Mine in the front compartment just to the left of battery there is a battery shut off switch on the red lead from the battery that shuts down the inverter and nothing else. I installed a battery cut off on the other red lead so I can shut down the entire 5er.

CWSWINE - I see that switch in the front compartment and remember the dealer pointing it out but couldn't remember what he said it did. The level up system was explained next and that used up most of my limited brain space! I assume the switch does the same in the 3611. When the pass thru storage area is "loaded" may be hard to get to the inverter switch.

I found this too in my 2018 375FL. When I turn the breaker for the residential refrigerator off it turns off all the bedroom outlets too. The refrigerator is supposed to run from the inverter when the invertor is turned on and disconnected from shore power. Does this mean that the invertor is also providing power to the bedroom outlets since they are all on the same circuit?

I was also surprised to see it was only a 15 amp breaker. Would have thought it would have been a 20 amp especially since it is not dedicated to the fridge.

My SOB with a residential refer is wired similar.

It is a 15a breaker. In my case the entertainment circuit lives on the same breaker. The way it's wired is that there is a splice prior to the inverter. The entertainment circuit stays powered all the time.

The other side of the splice goes to the inverter that has a built in transfer switch. The transfer switch determines if there is shore power. If so, it passes the 110v straight through to the refer. If not, it takes the 12v from the batteries, inverts it to 110v and powers the refer.

In my case, there is only the single outlet that sits behind the inverter.

Hope that helps.

Remember there is a button under the front of the ice maker you use to cycle the ice maker to allow for getting all the air out of the water line or getting water out if winterizing. Kind of hard to feel, but it is there and the tray will cycle to empty water, ice cubes, whatever.
