If the RV is a shakin'....

...wife is cranky lol

We have a 2017 310RE, so the bedroom is at the front. Hubby gets up in the morning before I do. When he does, the whole bed/room rocks and wakes me up.
He is fit, not overweight and is trying to walk softly, but I feel the bed shaking. Is there anything we can do to minimize the shaking?

Thanks!

Common complaint. We never got rid of all the shake but two things improved it 90%.
Steady Fast 5th Wheel Stabilizer: http://www.steadyfast.com/
And X-Chock wheel stabilizers: https://balrvproducts.com/product/standard-x-chock/
I believe both are available from several sources, I just included these to show the product.

Our bed is in the rear due to having a front living room but our teenagers sleep in the front and are not soft footed. We added JT strong arms and x-chocks and even if they jump I really can’t tell. Not only that but our washer barely is noticeable when running.

X-Chocks are definitely the way to go. I was skeptical with our previous TT, but they do make a world of difference. In addition, with the 4 or 6 point leveling system, try to make the stroke of the jacks as short as possible. IOW, add wood or plastic pads to limit the amount the jack has to travel. The shorter distance the better and more stable it will feel, especially with only 4 point leveling.

Thank you, that is great advice!

We have a 3791 that has the front bedroom. We use the fifth wheel stabilizer as well as the X chocks. But I have also found that if I use 6x6 blocks under my 6 leveling jacks, it helps to reduce any movement by not extending the leveling jacks as far. In addition, I “manually” level my unit. That allows me to place a bit more weight on the jacks. By doing all of this, we have greatly reduced any movement.

PS. We have two 85 lb Labrador retrievers and we don’t feel them moving around the 5’er at all.

I live in Oregon and don't see very many pin supports being used. I trie on a 2880 which was 30'11" long and didn't make a difference. My trailer now is 35 1/2 long and doesn't but a little bit. My opinion, is not needed.

Back when we had a 2955 I used X-chocks and JT Strongarms. They 'almost' eliminated it.

That combo worked so well I ended up installing them of 4 of my friends rigs.

Agree with X chocks and JT strongarms. I have always used X-chocks. I installed the JT strongarms this year - what a great difference. Really impressed with them.

Swaying while parked

I have the 3791rd, tried the x-chocks which didn't help any, I'm going to try JT Strong-arm next. Tried putting wood blocks, made no difference, just a big mess picking up wet blocks when you leave. The manufacturer should put Levelers at back of camper, it's along way from last hydraulic Levelers to back bumper.
