Montana 3791RD - First 5th Wheel

About 1.5 months ago my wife and I purchased our 1st 5th wheel, a 2020 Montana 3791RD. So far we have had only 1 issue with the heater not running more than 1 minute and getting the rig warm. We've been told it was a faulty sail switch and are waiting for a replacement. Otherwise, we love this rig! So much more space than our 35' class A motor home. We are camp ground hosts at Tanglewood Campground in Clemmons, NC, and will be going full time this year and this rig is the perfect one to do it in. Safe travels to everyone and we hope to meet you in our campground sometime.

Before you tear into it and replace the sail switch, check the little reset-able breaker.Had the same problem. 30 sec to replace small breaker solved the problem.
We love our 3791 also.

Joe,
Are you referring to the off/reset switch on the blower assembly? Where did you get your new switch? Thanks for the info.

No. I am talking about the small automotive type fuse in the breaker box, found on the cabinet as you come in the door. You can buy the fuses at the automotive supply store like O'Riellys, Autozone, etc.
Your RV dealer will have the re-setable fuse in stock.

Just borrow a 15A fuse from another slot for troubleshooting (outside lights?). In my case #17 is a spare. If it works ,you have a bad self resetting fuse (the funny looking black one).

Like you we just sold our 2017 35K Bounder Class A and purchased the 3791RD with legacy and Full Body Paint, we love the floor plan, however the quality difference between the Class A Bounder and the Montana is night and day, shocking in fact I just hope it is as durable at the Bounder.

Our Favorite part of the swap we were at 4.9mpg with our Wrangler TOAD on the M/H and now 10+ MPG with F350 and Monty so my wallet also loves the 5er as well.

Congrats

Before reassembling after replacing sail switch, test the burner if you can, before re-installing. I've had 3 furnace failures in past and each time it was debris in the burner nozzle. The debris was only about the size of a pin head, but clogged the nozzle, blocking the flow of gas.

Joe,
Thank you so much. A new 15a fuse did the trick but something interesting: when I pulled out the resettable fuse a 1" sheet metal screw fell out. It had evidently been laying on top of the fuse. Do you need a resettable fuse in this application or will a regular one work? I'm going to retry the old fuse today. Resettable fuses are something new to me.

Thanks to all who posted greetings and furnace fixes to my introduction post! The furnace is fixed but I now need to find out about resettable fuses. Currently, I have no known issues with my 2020 Montana! Time will tell. I hope to be spending my first winter in this rig and currently I am very comfortable. Based on what I have seen so far I am very happy with the build quality and appliances. It is the most efficient kitchen of any rig I've ever had. With that said I'm off to make sausage biscuits in my Furrion oven! Safe travels to all.
