Chocks
In the motorhome we did not need chocks. With the fifth wheel I see that we will. What brand or kind of chock do you use. Thank you for your help.

I have a pair of Roto-chocks that I dont use any morethey are for a tire gap of 5 to 7 inches in excelent condition. if intrrested e-mail me and I get my phone number to you that way.

If you're just wanting something to prevent rolling off, Wally World has I think Camco brand yellow chocks for under $5. Attwoods, Tractor Supply, and Orschlens also carry the same wedge type chock by various manufacturers. In a pinch, there's always firewood HA!

I formerly used Roto-Choks but no longer need them with the 6 points levelers.

Any heavy chock will work. Once the fiver is set where you want, I like to set the chocks and back the fiver into the chocks, and then unhitch. That prevents the creep that sometimes occurs when rehitching. Then I set a chock for forward roll.

Use Roto-Choks, they are simple, but you must order the correct size for your tire gap. Just in case we ever needed more we bought the orange plastic scotches ( better than hunting for the right size rocks) but have never used them yet.

Even with levelers, I use my Roto-Choks to prevent any movement of the rig prior to leveling and prior to hitching up after the levelers are raised. Don't take any chances of rolling even a little bit.

Been considering buying the Bal chocks or similar. But have been using the basic cheap orange plastic chocks for 5 years now and they work fine.

As others have mentioned, be sure to measure the distance between the wheels before selecting your chocks- It seems all brand rv brands used to have 35 inch axle spacing- Now there are many rvs out there with 33 inch spacing- Not all chocks will compress to use with 33 inch spacing- Our previous fiver had 35 inch spacing but our current SOB has 33 inch spacing- I ended up making chocks out of oak and threaded rods- JMHO- Don

Used Roto-Chocks on our Titaniums and this Montana. Winfield RV Products makes a chock that appears to be a variation on the BAL chocks. Have not talked to anyone who has used them 3xcept that they are a bit easieer to use than the Roto Chocks. May be some feed back on the Titanium Owners web site.
