Grey Roof Spots
Washed the roof yesterday with Dawn. Those small grey spots still there. Anyone have a solution to get them cleaned off? Have tried rubber roof cleaner with no success.

Mine has some of those grey spots also. I don't worry about them...what can they hurt?

I don't worry about them either. Probably worse for the roof trying to scrub them off.

The number one purpose of cleaning the roof is to remove the EPDM oxydation the gray film.
Do not worry about the Gray Spots!
It will pass the roof inspection

A small amount of bleach mixed with the Dawn will help reduce the gray spots after a few days of sun.

I went and cleaned my roof last weekend. It had been a long time since that was done if ever. I got the TT from a friend whose husband had passed away. I doubt he ever went up there. They only used it a few tomes. I had the black run off on the sides as well as the gray spots on the roof. I used simple green on the spots on the edge of the roof and it came relatively clean. On the roof for the initial cleaning I used my car wash soap and a soft brush I use for the car. (not any more) LOL. The roof came out clean except for the gray spots. The edge looks nice and white again. Was thinking about using a roof coating to cover the roof and make it look nice. I was quoted a price of around $6,000 to replace the entire roof. Not doing that. Here is the stuff i was thinking of using. Any thoughts.

Bleach is fine, have used it mixed with soap on rubber roofs and awnings for more than 20 years on 6 different units about 2-3 times a year with no adverse effect. Had one unit 8 years.

What was the mix % between the bleach and soap?

I use about 1/8 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water, amount of soap is up to you.
