2007 RV Parks & Campground Navigator 2 CD-Set

Anyone use the Trailer Life RV Parks & Campground Navigator 2 CD-Set? I was wondering if it was much more valuable than Delorme Street Atlas USA.

I have the 2005 version. I will not purchase again. The only thing I use it for is to find campgrounds. The navigation part is not good IMHO. In 2004 they offered just the campground info and I liked it and it was a lot cheaper. I wish they would do that again. Street Atlas is far superior.

I also have the 2005 version. I, like you found it useful for the campground info. I currently use Delorme 2007 Street Atlas for trip planning.

I'm probably a minority here but I do use the Trailer Life CD program (I've had all the versions/updates), both on my desktop at home in planning and on my laptop as we travel. It suits me fine. I do not have a GPS navigation system in the pickup and feel no need for one. I find the TL CD helpful in planning my trips and in setting end of day stops.

BTW, I have the latest GPS navigation system in our 2007 Lexus and I have not found it to be of any great value. Just my own experience and opinion -- and, as I said, probably in the minority.

We tried the TL program a couple of years ago. Would not buy another one and never use it. As a matter of fact I took it off my system after just a short time. Keep waiting for them to make a really good product but looks like I still have some time to wait.

I use DeLorme Street Atlas. They could do a little better than they do but it is a good product. Mine is a couple of years old and I need to upgrade. Maybe Santa will get the hint.

Is there a system that connects to a laptop and gives GPS navigation? If so, does the laptop need to be connected to the internet? If not, what device is used to capture the GPS signals?

Trying to sort out whether to use my Magellan or get a system for my laptop...

With MS Streets & Trips you can get a GPS that plugs into your Laptop. Also, I think DeLorme Street Atlas has a GPS that plugs into your laptop.

No, you don't need to be connected to the internet. The "GPS Antenna" unit is the navigation processor that plugs into the laptop.

I'm not familiar with your Magellan 6000T Roadmate, can you plug it into a laptop? I know that my Magellan Meridian can be plugged into my laptop.
