Rich,
I think you may be correct. We noticed this summer that it was not very crowded anywhere we traveled. Only trouble we had was at Calgary but we were there the week before the Stampede! Still managed to get a place with no problem. I think the fuel prices are having an effect.

I hope you're right, Rich, 'cause we don't plan to make a reservation. Guess we'll just take what we find available. Should be fun.

You know Glen (1N) our original intention was not to make any reservations anywhere in Az and after talking to several C.G.s we felt very confident that we would be OK. We did make one month reservations at Havasu Rv resort and Superstition Sunrise because we wanted to be sure we had good wifi But we are making no reservations for December or March. Many folks that go south or south west every year are not going this year. One C.G said that folks from, NY, PA, Ohio ., New England States who usually come in Large numbers are not showing up this year.

Well, Glen (one N) is glad to hear that. There are so many parks that someone should have a spot for us. We're not sure that we want to stay in one place for our entire time in Arizona as this is our first time to have an extended visit there. Too many friends to look up in different areas.

Well this is our First time wintering and we are learning. There are so many places we wanted to go and so many friends we wanted to visit and we finally realized that there was not enough winter to do it..then..we realized ..hey..we are retired We make our own schedules, we decide the time tables.Besides Havasu and Apache Junction, Quartzsite, Yuma and Sedona are on our list..We can come back to Ohio when we are Darn good and ready.

Our park (Las Quintas) is 99% full, all booked in for 6 monthes, but it is one of the favourites here. Reasonable prices and a nice well organized campground. Westwind, where we stayed last year is not doing as well, they upped their prices, and there is a lot of discontent in the park. The good ones will be harder to get into! All the parks have some places for short time stays,(a day or two). This is in Yuma.

Rich, you've got the spirit! We want to move around to many of the same points of interest which is why we're not making a reservation.

Dont, congratulations on your new status as fulltimers and welcome to the forum. I bet you find plenty of Iowans in Arizona. The other half will be in south Texas. We saw proof of that when we were in Mission. Glen is from NE Iowa, by the way, New Hampton to be specific.

We will be heading back to Casa Grande Golf Resort after xmas. Scheduled to be their last year as park was sold last year and will be developed with condos. Will have to look for new digs for the following year while there. John & Donna

We are in Yuma as well, staying at Country Gardens, a private park that we rent a site from the owner for about six weeks. We will be at Casa Grande Golf Resort for about 10 days on Dec. 22. John and Donna, when did you here about the sale of Casa Grande?
