Looking to the future

I completed over 20 years in the Military and parted company on my own terms. This Friday I will close out a 17 1/2 year career in the wireless cable and broadband internet industry, but not of my own accord this time around. The warehouse I managed for the last 4 years, is being closed and relocated to PA. As such, I was cordially ask to no longer play with the rest of the kids.

Well, I guess we move on. My wife and I renewed our wedding vows on the 10th, I moved most of the equipment and traveled to PA. to unpack and set up the new location on the 13th, returned home on the 23rd, and on the 30th, I will lock the doors and hand over the keys.

Fortunately, my military retirement pays the house payment and the utilities, so we have a roof over our head, heat, light, and water. So now we start the search for some new adventure that will pay for the car, the truck, Monty, and put food on the table. We are confident all will be well, but we have had to face the reality that Monty and the truck may become sacrificial lambs before things get better.

It's said God never puts more on your plate than you can handle, so we will look to the future and trust in our faith.

Our hearts are saddened by your news, but we pray that doors will soon be opened for you and Leslie, with many good times ahead for you both. You're such nice people--something good has to be in store for you in the near future.

As my DW says, all things happen for a reason. One cannot understand the why at this point but somewhere down the road maybe? We wish for both of you a bright future, as always, keep the faith and keep us posted!!!

That may be so, but sometimes cleaning your plate gives you some indigestion!

Good luck on your continuing life journey.

I always believed that God will never give you more than you can handle but sometimes I wish that He wouldn't trust me so much.

Well it must be a sign......enjoy the rest of your lives together on the road. and as you said you still have the real house to fall back on. when you cant set up the Monty anymore you can go back to it.
forced retirement isn't always the best thing but it will grow on you after a while, especally when you see your finances still in good shape. thats what scared me the most, but all turned out OK.
Good luck

Often when such times have come to my life, in due season, I discover what was taken away was inferior to the new directions and opportunities I found in my path. But it was tough to understand it in the moment of immediately at hand.

I wish you well as you seek the next opportunity in your life. Faith finds fulfillment during times of testing.

Thanks for your service. I have discovered that when one door shuts, another opens. You have a great attitude so best wishes on your future, whatever it is.
