Need exit dryer vent measurements

I remember reading but can't find it anywhere now, someone had placed the actual measurements on where to drill through the closet in the Montana to place the dryer vent without hitting anything. Can anyone help me here? Thanks. This would be for the Splendide combo. Has anyone vented down instead of through outside wall?

I believe Ozz did, but go out to your fiver on some morning that the dew is heavy ... look at the side and you will see the outlines of the aluminum frame.

On my 3400RL it wasn't critical where on the wall it is, just convienent to the placment of your unit.
Good advice on the dew, I think a stud detector would find any aluminum studs.
I can't use them, every time I pick it up, it goes off... :0

We drilled with a 4" hole saw, from the inside out. Easier to make adjustments if you find a stud!

Can you find a vent that will close if you go straight down? If not you may get bugs.

On the vent, think easy path for the vapor, every 90 ell adds many feet to the run length. They like 'up'. Heat rises and all that Physics stuff..

I did some research, bottom line is to read the install instructions to see any problems with it. A regular size dryer has a blower that would work with a down draft, not sure about the smaller RV dryers.
If they are routinely doing it, you May be Ok, but read the dryer install book, or call the Mfgr. here is some light reading:

Good point....not sure....read though where SOB rv's are now venting down out through bottom of rv...so there must be some sort of open/close vent that works. Was just curious to see if any one with a Monty has done it.
