we had a two Splendide units one in our 3400 and now one in our SOB. They are probably the most popular as far as the combo units. We have had decent luck with both sets.

We had the combo and switched to the stackable units.
The combo worked well but it took a long time.
We are very happy with the separate units.
Just make sure you can accommodate the stackable units
if you go that way.

We have the combo ventless Splendide and think it is great...it does take longer than a normal W/D but it does the job well.

We have had our Splendide combo nearly 6 yrs. Not full timers, but it has worked great for us with no problems.

Vented Splendide for us. We did have a water pump problem with ours and the Splendide folks were great to work with. Would buy another one.

Vented Spendide for us and it works great. We don't need it to do laundry fast, we're camping.

Mike, we have the stackable Splendide in our model 3400 plumbed closet and has work well. If you really shop around you may be able to find the stackables or combo from an internet distributor. We did, and they shipped both to our dealer at the time free shipping and no sales tax. Good Luck.

We have the Splendide Combo. The upside is that it takes half the space as individual washer/dryer units. The downside is that the cycle time is double because you can't wash and dry at the same time. Being full timers we generate more wash than we choose to conveniently wash in the Combo. Also Bonnie says that some things come out more wrinkled than she likes. So, we use the Combo for underwear, socks, t-shirts and the like. All else makes a periodic trip to the laundromat.

We have newer vented Splendide combo and love it. The only problem we've had with it is that somewhere during our travels last summer the vent hose apparently came off of the back of the dryer, so now it's venting into the cabinet and bedroom (vent hose is still connected to the exterior vent). We're not strong enough to wrestle the unit out of its cubbyhole to reattach the hose, but when we get back to Montana, our rig has to go to the shop to have two or three small things fixed, and we'll have the vent hose problem taken care of at that time.

Carolyn,
We cut an access hole in the side of the cabinet exactly where the vent comes out the dryer. This way, I can check it very easily and if any issues I can ge into it with no problems.

Tom, GREAT idea about cutting an access hole, which would be in my closet and out of sight unless we needed it!
Thanks for the tip.

Love our Splendide combo, although if we had room we would do a stackable.

Carolyn,
Your welcome, but I have to say, it was not my idea. Bill of Bill and Cindy Daniels thought of the idea as we were installing my washer/dryer combo.
I used one of http://www.harborfreight.com/variabl...ool-67537.html these to cut the hole. Very fast and very little dust.

Carolyn,
Had the same problem with vent coming off. I use the more expensive stiff aluminium duck with elbows (bad idea). Going down the road doesn't give enough and broke a couple times. I replaced with the cheap flex aluminium duct, and have had no more problem.
