I'm on the road right now, so typing from phone. I'm in the process of doing this very thing..I'm using a true residential samsung convection microwave. I'm seeing it's taking a lot of mods, but it's going well and I'm sure we'll be very happy with the result. I'm sure not many rigs have the space to put in a 30" micro tho'. I'm losing one small upper because of this. will post pics as I go, but won't get back to it for a week or so...

i changed mine to a stick house convection. have put on 8000 miles on trailer with no problems to the microwave. only difference was i had to finsh the outside around the microwave because it was a different size.works alot better then the cheap one that came with it.

That sounds good to me.. I thought I might have to do a little remodeling if I installed a stick house convection.. I should be able to come up with some type of modification for the front of it..

Thanks

If you have not done any cooking (I don't do much...Camilla has that covered) with a convection oven, you may want to talk with some people who have done so. Camilla's experience so far has not been too good.

my DW loves her convection also. Was I ever in the dog house when I broke it! Luckily Midwest still had the Apollos and I could replace it fairly quickly.
