Ricksay,
If you read some of Ozz's posts you will see that this is one of his mods. At least I think it is. If not he will be able to tell you how to do it! Not much that he hasn't worked on. Good luck, HamRad

Thanks Dennis, appreciate the thought, but it was actually my good friends Michael and Kat
Michalel nailed the problem, neatly.

Sorry Ozz! Between the two of you I think you've improved every system Keystone has. Or you've even added systems to make the product even better! And on top of that you both share with your fellow MOCers. Thanks to you both for doing that. It makes things in my world much easier. Dennis

I can't find the post. The search function isnt functioning. Basically, I got a charbroil remote ignitor. Had to get the one where the battery/ignitor is separate from the push button so everything would fit below the stove top. I'll see if I can find the part number.

I am not sure if this ignitor is the one Michael used, but I have installed several and they work great.

I ordered ignitor from

BUY-IT-NOW-Store.com

Parts needed are

KENMORE Gas Grill Ignitor Kit Spark Generator 80014484
Kenmore Sears 03610 Grill Replacement Ignitor Electrode 47" Wire
Kenmore 146.1622201 Gas Grill Replacement Grill Ignitor Electrode

This is the remote switch and this is the ignition module. This way, the switch fits into the existing, albeit enlarged hole in which the old rotary ignitor was mounted. I needed this setup because a universal, all-in-one ignitor wouldn't fit where the old one was (we have a Magic Chef with the ignitor on the right). I put the remote ignition module on the left side, underneath the stove cover.

This is the post I followed to get everything to work right. After about 8 months of heavy usage, the remote switch body broke but was easily replaced. So far so good.

Nailbender, are you wire to surface burners and oven off this unit. It looks like a perfect compact unit.

I am not Don (Nailbender) but I camp with him frequently and have seen many of the conversions he has performed. Yes it lights both the surface burners and the oven. A very slick setup!

My husband is not going to thank you Carl because I have now added it to his Honey Do list! I was wondering if this could be done...yippee! Thanks to everyone who has prevented us from having to reinvent the wheel...again!

Carol,
Get all the parts and bring them to Quartzsite....we can make this a "to-do" project. I have already been "volunteered" to do another one while there. Don helped us do the mod last year and we love it. I did the mod to "zman08" rig and his DW raves over it. Works great and no more contorting yourself trying to light the pilot.

WOW! That is awesome! I will make it a priority! I love the idea...husband may think differently but if you are offering to help that would be great! Thank you so much! We started planning our trip today...we are super excited! I think we are going to stop in Draper Utah for one night to take a break in the 20+ hour drive.

I've been working on this for a while off and on. I'm having a problem getting the igniter to light the oven pilot constantly. This post has got me interested again and gave me a few pointers. Also like the mirror idea, would like to see a picture.
