Manprint

While breaking in our new unit, DW and I are sometimes at odds with location, color, etc., of essentials. Interestingly, I'll find that my well-placed choice for a basket, lamp, or soap dish has surprisingly moved to some inconceivable spot.

We did have two weeks together in the 3700, but she had to return to work to pay for all of those hidden start up expenses. Being an educator, I'm off for the summer and now when I text her development updates for our new Montana, I simply refer to the unshackled improvements as my Manprint.

How did you resolve those minor outfitting issues that came up?

We call that personalizing the unit. location of towel racks. There was a lack of them in the new Big Sky. Addition of shelving, etc.orgainizing tne compartments. It is something that happens with all new Rv's and can cost you a couple hundred $$$.

What Bingo Said Nothing really changed when we went full time. For the most part it worked that way in the stick house.

Bingo is right. I'm in charge of the outside and I have my wife's permission to say it.

We usually compromise, but occassionally I need to point out who has the job that provides money for the fiver payments ... Fulltimers compared to recreational RV'ers have different circumstances of "what flies and what doesn't".

If that is your story and you are sticking to it, then you are by all means a man of conviction!! Unless of course, you posted that without DW's knowledge, simply to promote an image to the forum! (Most of us, however, know better, hee hee!!) Nonetheless, I admire your bravery!!

Think about this, when you got married, it was the brides day and you were along for the ride. The man is the head of the house and the woman is the neck. The neck turns the head.

Something that i have learned after 38 years with my wife, is that she usually needs to EXPERIENCE things before she can evaluate them. I tend to be more of a 'systems' thinker and see all of the aspects in the planning or design phase, whereas she has to live with it for a while.
... so..... I am p..a..t..i..e..n..t :-)

I guess I'm like fauch... except we're only on 37 years. The wife covers the look and beauty of things and I cover the fit and function.

Bingo ... As not to hijack Don and Mary's thread I'll just close out by saying she reads what I post. We both found out early on that each of us can get our shorts in a wad over whatever equally well, so that power play is pretty mute with us.

All I have to say, is if you're going from 3,000 square feet to 400 square feet, especially fulltime, you better know your other half already and what works, or you soon will

If mommy wants a change in something, she usually gets it. I let her do pretty much what she wants inside and if I make any changes I’ve found that throughout time everything works better if I discuss it with her.
