Have you sold an RV?

I have posted here, but I am sure there must be other places to post the Montana and F350. If you have sold one, please share with me where you found success.

I used Craigs List and sold my 2001 in two weeks. You need to put it on in several cities and possibly states near you. It is free.

I used RV Trader a few years ago. I was able to post a number of pictures online and it wasn't very expensive. I had inquiries from all over the US. I had to remind a person from Texas that it might not be the best financial plan to buy a $3000 5th wheel when its in Wisconsin! I sure wasn't paying the shipping!

X2 on Craigs list. Sold everything from my motorcycle to all the furniture in the house that wa this spring. My son in law and several of his friends are looking for campers there. At this point their moving up from popups to TT's, but the folks selling TT's are probably looking to move up also.

I've used Craig's list, too. You can put it in whatever city you want...and move it from city to city. One caution, there are LOTS of scammers on Craig's list.

Stiles, I posted mine on here and a very nice couple from Canada bought ours. Did post on Craigs list alos but did not get any hits from them. A little leery about doing business with someone off of Craigs List......

X3 On Craigs list. Clean as could be and priced reasonably. Sold in a couple of weeks in late september.
As noted above, about half of the respondants were scammers.

Sold my F250 a few months ago on CraigsList. My asking price was $2k more than I wanted. I got my asking price! The new owner responded less than 24 hours from when I posted the ad. I did get a response from a scammer. The broken English in the email made it pretty easy to figure out it was a scam. Plus they wanted to wire money and send a 3rd party to pick up the truck. Make the buyer pick up the item and bring cash. You will be fine.

We've had a lot of luck with Craigslist. Be sure to write an honest, detailed summary, and post with photos. Also be sure to send the "for sale" info to people you knwo on your email list and as them to forward - you never knwo who knows someone down the line.

Good luck!
