I would be interested in knowing, (just in case) Dino's original question of where to get replacements if they are torn and need replacing. I would guess your dealer would be one place, but if we could skip that stage (and his mark-up and shipping costs) it would be good. Might be Dave's link, I haven't clicked on that yet.

The link I gave has been used by some peoples in the Alpenlite group I belong too. They carry everything from repair kits to brand new day/nite shades to pleated doors. The people that used them were satisfied I never had a reason to call them myself though.

Suggest you call the mfr at this number..
Irvine Shade & Door, Elkhart, IN 574.522.1446
I called them last week to find out where best to get replacement string. They're sending me replacement string and instructions. Free of charge. They did the same for another shade last year. I don't know if they'll sell you a replacement shade but maybe they can point you in the right direction.

Got sick and tired of the day/night shades.
Can't clean them, also had a couple that were warn and ripped.
Went to Home Depot and got new vinyl blinds.
They look great and have been very very happy with them.
When we travel, we just put them up.
We were able to use the standard width's and just had to have the two small (narrow) rear side windows.
I think for all the blinds (11) it was around $200.
On the lengths, 48", for shorter just follow the directions and undo the string, take out blades, redo the string.
Last year we had taken down the Cornishes, and made new ones out of MBF and painted a light yellow.
The next project is to put up wallpaper on the walls, a wains-coating on the bottom and a light, tan/yellow stripped for the tops.
Put it up after we paint the ceiling.
