I made a chimney sweep brush out of some chunks of rubber that flew off of my Mission tires!!! It works great!!!

We scrub the chimney with our old graphics. Our Mission tires were not strong enough to clean anything.

Ours gets once a year when Santa Claus comes down the chimney.

On the serious side. There is a safety factor to consider as well. Please do not clean your chimneys while the fire is a roarin'!! The graphics and Mission tires brushes are flammable!!!!!!

we are planning to put one in this spring when we pull it out of the snow. Now that you reminded us of that,we decided that we would use the turbo cat zoom with the dw hanging on to it as I tie a rope around her ankles and drop her in. She loves that vacuum!!!!!!!!!!

On Edit: I'll post pictures of the event!!!

Camping World has a special right now. They'll sweep the chimney for just $99. There is a 9 month wait, however...

After the first chimney fire you won’t forget to make sure it’s cleaned out every year! A professional chimney sweep is the only way to go.

While you are doing your spring cleaning, don't forget to pick up a SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) injection kit for you CB. Gotta keep the radio waves standing properly.

Don't order it from the dealer. They are just too expensive. Send me $25 + $5 s/h and I'll send you a brush suitable for the job. Jim

Hmmmmmmmm that must be the cause of the funny smell coming from our chimney. Ever since Christmas there has been a black shiny boot hanging out of it! I also heard a few faint Ho Ho Ho's a few days after Christmas. All quiet now so when the weather warms up will get a stick and poke out whatever is up there!

I think you find the chimney brush next to the left handed smoke benders.

I just go outside, open up the "cleanout access port", stick the shotgun in there, and let go with a blast of double "ought" buckshot. Cleans everything right out.......birds, squirrels, limbs, etc. Funny thing though, the door had a label on it that said "Fill", which I assumed to mean where you put the "ashes" from the fireplace. Maybe I was wrong on that one......and maybe that's the reason I feel a "draft" from the fireplace area now!!!!

Give me a break guys, it's an electric fireplace! Hire a licenced electrician to come in with his electric ash grabber. He'll come in, grab all the ash he can
and leave when all the ash is gone.

Sky, THANK YOU. I have an electrical license (LME), and now that I'm retired, that gives me a great idea for earning some extra money to buy extra Montana "goodies".....!! Never thought of that.....
Now I'll just have to make up a sign to hang outside my door......."ash grabber"......have your electric fireplaces cleaned by a licensed "pro".....!!!

Heh heh!!!

We have Keystone do it in our drive. They do it every spring when they check our graphics, tires and shackles. Keep on Rving folks.
