Just upgraded to the 3750fl

First post here! Quick history my wife and I have two children 4 and 2 and on a whim last fall purchased a Keystone Avalanche 340tg with the bunkhouse. We only had the time and the weather to camp about 6 weekends last year. We did however fall in love with the sport/hobby/lifestyle.... The avalanche was great plenty of room for sleeping (8.) Our only complaint was the living area was small. Only one couch that can sit two.
That brings us to the Detroit RV show last Sunday. Went with the troops hoping to pick up some info on new campgrounds to visit here in Mi. No trip is complete without walking into a few 5ers. Since the baby was in a stroller we took turns going in and out while one of us waited with the little one. My 4 year old son was first in and last out of every camper!! Now comes the Montana 3750fl. My wife goes in first I wait, she appears in the door "holy sh%t, this is unbelievable." Two hours later we are the proud new owners of a Montana 3750FL.
We cant wait for the maiden voyage is this snow ever melts. I was very impressed with the living space in the 3750fl over our Avalanche. Kids have no problems sleeping on a couch or airmattress and I love the idea during bad weather we can all hang out together.
Sorry for the long winded post. We are just very excited. Anyone have a 3750FL with any tips or advice??
My tv is a 2010 F250 lariat CC Fx4 SRW 6.4, Spartan Diesel DPF/CAC delete and tuner, Firestone Airbags.
Thanks again
Sean

Congratulation Sean.

There are others here that recently upgrade to the 3750 also. Enjoy the new Monty. If you can make the Fall Rally in September, would be great to see you. This will be our first one this year.

Congratulations on your purchase Sean and welcome to the forum, there is something that I like about that unit as well (hint: see signature). The air mattress for the sofa bed can be tricky. When you do your pre-delivery inspection, make sure they show you exactly how to set up the bed. Ours was supplied with the wrong mattress for the sofa. We contacted Flair directly (as have others) for a replacement mattress that was supplied at no cost. In addition, make sure the dealer addresses all of the recalls that are outstanding on the unit. These include (but are not limited to) the Norcold refrigerator has a temperature sensor that needs replaced, the axles have another support piece that needs attached, if you have a built-in generator, the automatic transfer switch needs checked for loose lugs as well. One thing to always remember (put it on a checklist) is that the bedroom door MUST be closed before retracting the slides. Keep us informed as to your experiences with a great layout and don't be shy about asking questions, seeking advice, and contributing your ideas to the MOC!!

Congratulations on the new fifth wheel! My bride and I purchased a 3750FL over the Christmas holidays and after 5 trips we still love it! The floor plan is is perfect for our lifestyle and it is the first front living room model that we liked. We wish you many years of enjoyment with your family.

Welcome to the 3750FL Club. We love ours. Ditto to what Bingo said. Our remote batteries only lasted six months. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on the second new rig. Watch out it gets to be addictive. The kids will always remember going RVing with mom and dad for the rest of their lives.

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Ive been lurking around and have already found some great info. The thing that attracted us to the 3750fl is that fact that my family can all sit around on couches and enjoy each others company. Like I said in my op the kids can sleep anywhere and have fun "roughing it" on the couch or airmattress on the floor. As we all know not everyday is 80 and sunny and being able to all hang out together is priceless for us.
No I just hope my 3/4 ton has no problems pulling it!!!! Although my avalanche was 12k and it was no big deal.
Thanks again everyone hope to be parked next to you all one day!

Congrats on our new 3750FL! We have a 2010 and love the floor plan and our experience with the coach has been nothing short of fabulous. There is a reason why the dealers in our area CANNOT keep them on the lot. However, be prepared for some MOC members who like to criticize the floor plan. You have made a great choice and feel free to PM with any questions.

Congrats to you. Jen and I purchased a 3750 last summer and have had 3 excellent trips with it so far. I also pull with a 3/4 ton and have had no problems so far. Ford lists my 05 diesel as having fifth wheel maximum loaded trailer wt of 15,400 lbs. The coach weighs under 13K so for what we use it for (max 1 week trips only) we'll never put over a ton of gear into it and we never travel with loaded grey black and fresh tanks. I am getting Airlifts put on the back this year (as you can see from the signature pic, the 2100 lb pin wt puts a load on the back end) so that should end the angry headlight bright flashes from other drivers and allow it to ride better. When we start fulltiming though, I'm gonna upgrade to a duelly. Happy travels!! BTW we were also at the Detroit show, I've never seen it so busy. We were at the Detroit boat show the same day and it wasn't nearly as busy. Great to see so many people getting into camping.
