Denver

There's a good chance ill be moving to Denver soon for a job transfer. My question is are there any good parks in Denver for full time?

I can give you a couple of suggestions, not necessarily full time.

the city of golden has a great park...problem is that during the busy season you only can stay there 2 weeks. then there is the fairground. there is a campground on the edge of goldern where you can stay fulltime, around $1000. All are on the west side of Denver.

there are a number of places you can stay in Denver, just do a google search.

We like Cherry Creek state park a lot but it's not full time. Don't know of any full time. Good luck!

here is the one I was trying to remember their name....get this, the flying saucer, right in Denver. not the prettiest but it could be for you. right near a mall and restaurants.

I have a friend who lives full time at the Flying Saucer with no complaints. It wouldn't be my first choice, though. It's Ok, but a little dated, and it's right on a major street. My suggestion would be to go to Chatfield State Park first. There's a 14 day limit, but it's very nice, and would give you a chance to look around a little.

If you do decide on the Flying Saucer, be careful how you drive in Sheridan. Speed traps and photo enforcement everywhere.

IMO the city park in Golden is a little tight for larger rigs. I stayed there a couple of times with my 26' sob. Theres some larger spots but overall the back you in there pretty tight.

Last summer we stayed at the Dakota Ridge RV park in Golden right off Colfax.

Depending on where your job is located, the commute time in Denver can get brutal (I lived there for 15yrs) so that might also determine where you want to stay.

We live in Colorado and we usually winter store our 5th wheel at Dakota Ridge in Golden. It's nice for us because it's stored in a space, so when we come down from the mountains to Denver, we can also use it for an overnight. It's very reasonable for that, but not sure of full time rates. It's well run and good amenities. Being on the west side of town, you are very close to the mountains and recreation. Do you know where you will be working? The Jefferson County fairgrounds (also west side of time) does take a few full timers, but I think only 30 amp and you have to have a portable sewage tank. It is quite reasonable, but very basic.
