washing machine,
To vent or not to vent???? that is the question....
Has anyone had experience with the Splendide ventless compared to the regular vent type???
whatever I get will go on a 3455SA /'11...
At this time it is just me .... but I hope it will change and be 2 humanoids.... all opinions welcomed as this is my first Montana...
Thank you all for your assistance...
Also any other suggestions for accesories or mods or whatever would be great...

Vented! Also, note my signature, make sure the vent is installed corectly, not in the middle on side/cap joint.

Vented here also. Go out and look at the trailer early one morning when the dew has settled on it and you can see the rib structure. A call to Keystone will also get you the location for the vent. As far as mods go, we've done many things to ours as have others. A search on the forum will give you some ideas. Gongrats on your new rig.

We have a vented model. When you are drying clothes the moisture has to go somewhere and on a vented models it goes out the vent.

Not only the moisture, but the heat and lint have to go somewhere. Outside was the best place for us.

the model they sell as "ventless", the 7100CX supposedly evaporates the moisture and collect the lint etc... however after reading your comments I think I will order the "vented" type, nothing like experience...
I must admit that the thought of punching a large hole on the side of the new "home" (I full time) is a bit gutwrenching !!!!!!!!

We have vented also. The ventless models actually use cold water to condense the heated water vapor from the clothes that are drying. All the moisture and condensed water goes down the drain. Uses much more water and takes longer to dry.
Here is a description of how it works.

All those windows you have are holes punched into the walls. Vented is better for the reasons before stated. The polished chrome vent plate does a fine job of covering that hole.

Vented, just recently installed and used for the first time last weekend. Did a good job and dried faster than we thought.

We have owned the Splendide Combo vented and the Splendide Ariston stackable. For sure go with the vented, less moisture and the dryer heat will go outside.. We also prefer the side by side W/D vs the Combo. However with the Everest 343L we could only use the Combo. When we went to the Cambridge we went with the Stackable Ariston. BTW rig pick up is in about 1 week... maybe... +/-
bought it from Kitsmiller rv in Mi... any comments about them or their service ??????

If they have the Slendide and their price is good get them to install it. It was part of our package when we bought and their first installers screwed up so when it was fixed they covered it for more than the warranty.
