Nice concept, I have seen this Truck in some other mag. Wonder if the other axle is a live pulling axle, probably isn't. The other concern I would have is turning, on a hard service it would be ok. Another plus would be that you wouldn't have to install any air bags under the F-450 when towing heavy 5th wheels, for example I have seen on another forum a picture of a F-450 towing a Teton and it did sag due to the heavy pin weight. But as said there is always something you have to do no matter what type truck you have. GBY...

I think this guy has nothing better to do, or more money than he knows what to do with. I wonder if it increased his GVWR. Looks good though...... I just hate to think what a set of tires would cost him, let's see: 10 Goodyear G614s at $299.00 a piece, HMMMM No thanks!!!!! Kinda reminds me of the guys who take a SRW drive and turn it into a dually without changing the specs, you probably end up with lower capacities than when you started out....

We met a guy several years ago had truck like this towing a 4, yes that's right 4 axle Teton with it. His wife was following with a F-350 dually pulling a fith wheel enclosed car hauler with a new T-Bird and 2 Harleys

I wonder if the gvwr sticker has been changed by the Ford Motor Company.

I think it is the tow vehicle for Keystone's new Alpine luxury line of 5th wheels.

It would for sure carry the pin weight. Just hope the new Alpine uses a lot of what the Cambridge had as for as standard options and of course with all the new changes that have been brought on line since 2006. If they bring 80% of what the Cambridge had, but upgrade to the 8,000 axles and 17.5" tires they will have a winner. I will believe Katrina killed the Cambridge, just my opinion. GBY.....

Delaine and Lindy,
In a recent message you said -- "I will believe Katrina killed the Cambridge, just my opinion."

That is thought-provoking. How did you arrive at that conclusion? I assume you are referring to the hurricane called Katrina and not some person by that name.

Travel safely,
Dennis

They could add eight more axles, but it's still a one ton frame. Plus the extra axle weight will count against the truck's GVWR.

Just a gimmick as far I'm concerned. Looks cool, but pretty impractical.

I had a thought some years ago about fabricating a Peterbilt body and placing it on my Dodge Dakota. Thought it would look pretty good. Never happened though. Looks like this guy sorta had the same idea, maybe a Peterbilt wannabe....

They were a company outa Texas I believe, Since gone under. They're conversions were legit complete with an up graded GRWR & GCVWR. I dont recall what the "UPS were" You received a second live axle so in a true sense of the word you could have three live axles driving the truck. Turn Diameter did not change. Ride quality was harsh when empty. Dodge had looked at doing something similar, I believe the project was called godzilla... However teh dodge from what I remember was based on singles at the rear not duallies.
