Honda 2000eu exhaust extension
Hey guys, I am thinking about going to an Hot Air Balloon Festival in Sept. The problem I am trying to solve ,is building a detachable 12 foot exhaust system for my two generators.
Your ideas or solutions would appreciated.

12 foot might prove to be a bit detrimental to these generators unless you build out of something with a large diameter like aluminum drier vent hose. Making these little engines push exhaust gases through small tubing/piping might cause them to overheat and would certainly reduce their operating efficiency.

What Tom said.
You could check with Honda and get their input, but I would not try it otherwise, these generators are tuned really well, but any tinkering like that might damage them.
Have fun at the festival, but get your reservations, at some RV parks, they are booked a year and sometimes 2 in advance.

I know I have seen some large diamater exhust systems for the 3000's on eBay. (Honda does not make one). You may want to look and see if there is something similar for the 2000s.

Takes two of them to run much of anything in these rigs and I can't imagine being able to work out something that would do the job and not negatively effect the generators.

I have been looking at the Gen-turi Generator Exhaust System for at least one Generator. Have anyone had any experience with this system?
you can see it on www.YouTube.com/watch?v=uBPDpMHVWVg

Both Dherry Rldriver and Littlespud use a Gen-turi as I recall. You might try emailing them for their impressions.

I made my own gen-turi and use it on my 8KW generator, it works great at putting the exhaust above the rig. I do not have any experience or ever heard of anyone using one with a Honda generator.
