The Phantom

We seem to have a phantom in our Monty that keeps turning the radio on. Not sure why yet, but for the last three days, whenever I go out into the unit to do something, the Jensen radio/DVD/CD is on... Anyone have this problem? I just removed the batteries from the remote to see if that may be the problem. If not, and if no one here has a solution, I think I will have no choice except to install a separate off/on switch.

What is your power source for your Jensen? 12vdc or 120vac?
I am guessing 12vdc. If so turn off your converter/charger and see if the problem goes away.

Our house is! Maybe the gremlins migrated to the Monty!

Worth a try John. If the battery out of the remote doesn't take care of it, I'll remove the AC power next. The unit is 12V.

Had the same problem on out 2012 Mountaineer, seems like every time we would stop to get fuel the outside speakers were playing music. We took it to the dealer and they did a master reset. I believe the button is on the front of the radio. They also accused us of setting the timer. After they did the master reset, we have not had any more problems. Good luck.
