Positive Direction (Thetford bomb)

I figured I would share what I consider to be a good experience with both Keystone and my dealer. I have been suffering the well documented challenges of the Thetford toilet in my new 3440RL. My unit is still under warranty. Replaced the seal, replaced the bottom, replaced the whole toilet to address leaking seal. Next the backflow prevention mechanism would not operate resulting in direct path for water in the people tank. Worked with my dealer and Keystone to make a constructive argument for a more permanent solution. As others on the board have done, I now have a Dometec 320 in place, also a new shutoff valve and peace of mind. Props to both Keystone customer service and TRV. Both companies receptive to my input and empathetic to my concerns. Fixed all of the issues I have documented during the warranty coverage period. Excluding the toilet they were relatively small issues but still needed to be addressed. I have read quite a few negative experiences on the board regarding Keystone thought I would share a positive experience.

When we were at the Rally I talked to several Keystone officials about the toilet problems and they didn't seem to be aware of them mostly, I think, because we were either dealing with Tetford or out of warranty altogether. Hopefully they are paying attention now.

Probably not in their sights because most of us take care of the problems ourselves.

Interesting...the particular CS contact I spoke with on the telephone seemed to be aware of at least some history with the product. Might be that this is indication that word is making its way to Keystone. Either way it was a good outcome for me and I was happy and satisfied with the customer service experience.
