Winegard Traveler

Background: I have had satellite at home for 14 years. Tired of the.fuzzy pictures on cable in the camper. I have Dish with hd and dvr.
I originally thought that i would use the portable dish with a receiver. But more and more that i think about it, i would rather have the dish traveller dish with mh multiroom hd receiver and dvr.
So the question is this- if you have the traveller dish (regardless of service provider), are you satisfied with cost, installation, performance, ease of use, etc. We use the dvr extensively so we can watch our shows when we want, and schedule tv when we have down time. Nascar and skip all the commercials, etc. Plan on full timing in next two years

Dish Traveler is a good thing. Have to be careful where you set up at in CG's as tree's do come an issue at times. But we are just careful in our selection of sites. Once we get to the site and start to set up we activate the dish by pushing a button and when we complete the setup of fiver the signal is there and you start watching tv. Was one of the best purchases that we made sense going full time. I have the name of a couple that does this for a living and do it cheaper than anyone. If you want this info pm me and will let you know.

We use DirecTV, but makes little differenc. We have the Big Trav'ler on the roof and just love it, would do it again in a heart beat. More and more CGs are offering Sat Friendly sites because so many have roof top dishes now.

I have Dish with a Wineguard Carryout. It cost an extra $7 per month, HD included.

Lynwood, we also have the Wineguard Carryout to use when we are in a spot that trees or something block the Traveler. We actually bought the carryout so we had that when we purchased the Traveler. Carryout works well also. Did I say I like having Dish Network? LOL

I ordered the traveler today from solid signal for 1209, no shipping or tax. Now for installation questions.
How many ordered the additional plate to go under it on the roof? I can figure oit how tp run it, but have to get the signal in. The satellite/cable from the convenience center. Is that a good point to hook up at?
