US 301 south Saturday 1/14/12

Saw a Montana headed south on MD's Eastern Shore Saturday morning, Jan. 14 around 10a. We were headed north in DW's car.

It wasn't us but we were on 301 quite a bit while we were down in the Tampa area! That must be a long road!

Rondo, don't know exactly how far North 301 goes, but I do know it's in the Baltimore/DC area. Think it was a main North/South route in the days before I95. Remember all those days before the big Interstates??

Man, you guys are old!!! Unfortunately, I, too, remember those days. Just west of Topeka, KS is a sign saying it's the first stretch of interstate highway completed in the U.S. Figures, since Ike grew up in Kansas. But I thought the first stretch would have included his home town of Abilene, KS, but that's another 60 or so miles west.
