Generator exhaust extension

I want to add a 2 foot long extension to my 1 inch od Onan generator exhaust pipe to direct the exhaust further away from the unit. Looking for a removable pipe to slip on only when needed. Local muffler shops don't have a flared end pipe that small. Would PVC be a solution? Any ideas

I think PVC would last about 2 minutes under heavy use. There are plastics that would but they are expensive. Get a 2 foot pipe and get a machine shop to make an adapter. Then weld it to the pipe.

I had a 6000W generator. I made an adapter with 3" aluminum gutter drain pipe and 3" aluminum flex duct to direct the exhaust safety away from the house. It tolerated the high exhaust temperatures quite well. Used it for many years during power outages.

I installed the Gen-Turi system to extend the exhaust up and over the trailer.

I moved my 5.5kW Onan from my old trailer to the Montana and had to custom bend the exhaust. I chose to have it exit so it was between the heater and water heater so I could rivet the clips for the bungee on the exhaust. When not in use, it stores in a bag in the compartment.
