This subject come's up probably more than anything else on this forum and there are still those that are doubters as to whether Rohmann is correct on his advice about the 80 amp breaker. He is one of the most knowledgeable members on this forum. He not only gives sound advice but many times can tell you chapter and verse where the information is that he refers to. I have never read where anyone has complained about having problems with installing the 80 amp breaker. The bottom line is it works and will take you all of 10 minutes to cut out a lot of problems down the road. Do it and forget about it.
My guess on why Keystone says don't do it is because then they would be admitting they should have done it in the first place, possibly making themselves liable for your problem.
My advice - source an 80 amp auto or manual reset breaker, look at the pictures posted by Bob Rohrman, and swap the 40 amp for the new 80 amp. If Keystone ever balks at honoring their electrical system warranty because you swapped the breaker, refer them to Keystone's recommendations. Chances are, if you never point the dealer to the swapped breaker, no one will ever notice or care, warranty-wise. However, you will be so glad you did the swap - I know we did - it was the first mod after buying the new-to-us 2011 3150RL.

80A is probably easier, but 2 40's parallel are the same as an 80. If you can't find an 80 easily.

As I just purchased my 2015 3611RL I haven’t had a chance to look it over real well since it been freezing out here in Ohio.

Is the breaker being discussed here the one on the wall behind the battery in the front storage?

Thanks,
Mike

Yes, that is exactly where the breaker is located, and if the insulating cap is still on it, that will be a red plastic cap. If there are two breakers, the one with a cable going to the hydraulic pump is the one that will need to be replaced if it hasn't already been done on your rig.

80A circuit breaker
This is a link to the manual reset version-
https://www.amazon.com/Bussmann-BP-C.../dp/B001PYL1VM
Automatic reset one (in the picture)
EATON's Bussmann Series 181080F-01-1 Surface Mount Circuit Breaker, Type I Reset, 80A, 30V
https://www.waytekwire.com/item/4693...Surface-Mount/

Affinity installed the 80A one in the picture. If you follow the fat red wire from the battery box (bottom right) it goes to the first breaker left post. Then you have a short 3" jumper to the 2nd breakers right post. On this post they tied in the 80A breaker that goes to the hydraulic motor reversible solenoid.
So electrically speaking, the 80A is tied to the battery + post.
No need to actually replace the existing 50A one. Just put a short 4 gauge jumper from the + side (battery feed side) of the existing 50A breaker to the 80A one then put the cable from the hydraulic pump reversible solenoid to the other side of the 80A breaker.

Can’t believe my eyes

Took advantage of the 60 degree weather today and went to my Montana to do a few things. While there I checked my breaker that feeds the hydraulic pump. I had to read it several times as it is a 150 Amp, yes it is not a typo, 150 Amp. Guess I don’t need to replace a 40 Amp.

The thing you looked at that you refer to as "150 amp"...did it look like any of these in the pic below? A? B? or C?
